Ronald L. Eissner, 81, of Cheyenne, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Davis Hospice Center.
He was born April 5, 1935 in Spencer, Iowa, son of Harold and Florence (Lauck) Eissner. Ron served his country for 27 years, in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Chief Master Sgt. on November 20, 1981.
Ron married Georgia Mae Shirk on September 23, 1956. Following Ron’s military service he worked for the U.S. Post Office.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Ron volunteered with Frontier Days and rode color guard in the parades. He served on the Board of Directors for the Warren Federal Credit Union and he enjoyed golfing and playing poker with his buddies.
Survivors include his son, Scott (Debra) Eissner of Goodyear, Arizona; daughter, Rhonda Eissner of Cheyenne; two grandchildren, Alissa and Lucas Eissner, both of Goodyear, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his wife on May 7, 2010; his parents and a brother, Lloyd Eissner.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
