Ron O. Hollibaugh, 61, of Cheyenne died peacefully February 6 at his home, surrounded by his family. He lost a short battle to cancer.
He was born July 9, 1954 in Lewiston, Idaho.
From an early age Ron lived with and was raised by his grandparents in Peck, ID after his mother passed away.
He was a heavy equipment operator and absolutely loved what he did. He was one of the best loader operators there were.
Ron enjoyed being in the mountains. That was his home away from home. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed bowling, and traveling. The last few years, he took up rock hounding and jewelry making. Most of all, Ron loved being with his family.
Ron is survived by his soul mate and wife, Sara Vasquez; a son Ron Hollibaugh Jr of Cheyenne, two daughters, Carlie Evans of Billings, Mont., and Candice VanLeuven of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; a brother Terry (Julie) Hollibaugh of Orofino, Idaho, a step son, Austin Vasquez of Cheyenne; a half sister LeeAnn Daniels; seven grandchildren, and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Hollibaugh; papa Merle, grandma Estelle, and his nephew Jeremy.
Life commemoration services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 18th at Wiedershpahn-Radomsky Chapel.
