Robert Wesley Lowry went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2022, at age 87 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Robert (Bob) was born to Charles and Vera Lowry on August 29, 1935 in Meeteetse, Wyoming. He spent his childhood in Meeteetse, Cowley and Worland, Wyoming before enlisting in the Air Force from 1954 to 1957, serving in Anchorage, Alaska as an aircraft mechanic. After an honorable discharge from active service, he continued to serve in the Air Force Reserve until 1962.
Bob met his wife, Patricia (Pat) Ann Garris in Casper, Wyoming, marrying his bride on November 4, 1961. Bob & Pat raised three children, Debora, Angela and Randall. In 1967, they moved their family to Corona, California, then in 1971 they moved to DeSoto Texas, where they stayed until 1978. From Texas they relocated back to Casper, Wyoming, where Bob owned and operated an oilfield trucking business. In 1984, Bob & Pat moved to Riverside, California where they resided until they retired in 1998, once again moving back to Casper, Wyoming to be closer to family. Bob and Pat moved to Cheyenne Wyoming in 2015, where they attended Calvary Chapel.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bob also enjoyed working on cars and loved riding his motorcycle while in California, as well as working with his horses while in Texas. Bob accepted the gift of Christ’s offer of salvation in 2004, at the age of 69, responding to God’s grace with child-like faith. Bob and Pat were both baptized in the North Platte River that same year. After Bob’s salvation, he held to an unwavering faith in God’s purpose, diligently serving those in need through a Disaster Relief Ministry, serving in Texas after Hurricane Katrina, as well as helping build churches in Opal, Wyoming and Mexico. He served as a Deacon in the Bar Nunn Baptist church, helping construct a major church expansion. Throughout his remaining years on this earth, he faithfully grew in the knowledge & grace of our Lord through consistent Bible study and prayer with his wife Pat.
Bob is survived by his wife of 61-years, Pat, his sister, Katie Quick (Joy), his children, Debora Jenkins (Steve), Angela Kraiser (Reno) and Randall Lowry (Brenna), his twelve grandchildren, Nathan, Robert, Heather, Lacy, Kortnie, Jacob, Brittney, Evan, Elijah, Grace, Spencer and Ezekiel, sixteen great-grandchildren, Kamren, Brian, Ashley, Natalie, Lane, Timothy, William, Aiden, Jayden, Gabriella, Kolbee, Levi, Elizabeth, Hunter, Gannett and Arya, and many nieces & nephews.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (NKJV)
