Robert David Loshbaugh

August 24, 1939 — January 12, 2024

Robert David Loshbaugh (Dave) died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Ocala, FL on January 12, 2024 at the age of 84. Born in Cheyenne, WY, he was the son of Oren Leslie and Margaret Augusta Loshbaugh. Dave graduated Cheyenne High School and retired from US West after 33 years of service. Working his
way up through the company, he finished his career as a Test Desk Technician. He lived a full life and enjoyed many hobbies including watercolor painting, flying remote control planes and photography. He acquired his pilot’s license in the 1970’s and enjoyed flying his Cessna, building and repairing remote control airplanes. He was well known for his dad jokes. Dave was an active member of Capital Lodge Local 54 in Cheyenne, WY and a member of the Scottish Rite Free Mason’s as a 33rd Degree Mason. Dave was a Shriner and a graduate of the 1958 Marine Corps Muster Rolls.
He is survived by his children, Shelley Roberts of Cheyenne, WY, Daniel Loshbaugh of Ocala, FL and Jill Paxton (Rusty Paxton) of Denver, CO, as well as his siblings, Bruce Loshbaugh and Carolyn Loshbaugh and his grandchildren Kayla Roberts, Kimberlee Cooper, Jessica Loshbaugh, Jennifer Loshbaugh, Eryn Grover and Peyton Paxton as well as his great grandchildren, Samantha Fleck, Jaycee Thomas, Alyrah Thomas, Kade Cooper, Cora Cooper and Kenna Cooper. Both ex-wives Kay Hay and Linda Keller. He is preceded in death by his parents, his older sister Roberta Louise Hylan his younger brother, James Douglas Loshbaugh, his daughter-in-law, Nipha Loshbaugh and a grandson, Patrick Bryan Fleck. Service will be held at 2:00pm, January 31, at Wiedersphan-Radomsky Chapel.
