Robert Earl Johnson, 84, of Laramie, died on January 27, 2022 in Cheyenne.
He was born on June 26, 1937 in Stoneville, South Dakota.
Robert grew up in logging camps around Laramie until he joined the U.S. Army in 1956. After his honorary discharge he worked at Safeway until he retired in 1979. He went back to work in the oilfield after that, were he retired again in 2000.
He was a member of the Shriners and the Elks Lodge in Laramie. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his son, Ed Johnson of Searchlight, Nevada; two grandchildren, Jeannie Crutchfield and Jessica Miech, both of Casper, Wyoming; a brother, Glenn Johnson of Loveland, Colorado; a sister, Elvina Farnhan of Laramie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Ann Armstrong and Betty Rowe; son, James “JJ” Johnson; three brothers; Walter Johnson, Jr., Orvil Johnson; and Grand Johnson; and two sisters, Vera Weiburg and Aggie Storer.
