Robert Gerren, 77, of Cheyenne, died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Davis Hospice Center.
He was born March 5, 1939 in Jefferson, Iowa, a son to Clarence and Evelyn Gerren. Robert moved at a young age with his family to California. He married Estella Fernandez on July 26, 1975 in Reno, Nevada. He was employed with Davis Wire and later Campbell Chain Company before moving to Cheyenne in 1989 from the Bay Area in California.
Robert loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Estella of Cheyenne; son, Jeffrey (Jeanne) McDonald of Seatac, Washington; daughter, Bobbie (James) Kelley of Carson City, Nevada; four grandchildren, Rachel McDonald of Seatac; Sierra (Andrew) Carlstead of Cheyenne; and Alexis and Kennith Kelley of Carson City; great granddaughter, Kysaundrya Carlstead of Cheyenne; brother, Delos Gerren of Coldwell, Idaho; and two sisters, Phyllis Chrisp of Clearlake, California and Judi Mefford of Reidsville, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Gerren.
Vigil for the deceased will be Thursday, September 8th at 7:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, September 9th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
