Robbie Mae “Sweet” Simms, 74, of Cheyenne, died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 28, 1940 in Abbeville, Alabama and had lived in Cheyenne since 1959. Robbie came to Cheyenne by the way of her Aunt and Uncle Smoky Parham.
She was a member of High Plains Church of Christ and retired as a nurse’s aide/ward clerk from Memorial Hospital and McComb Nursing Home. Robbie had a passion for interior decorating, exquisite fashion, and had great taste.
She is survived by her children, Vickie Sarpongmany of Hollywood, Florida, Gayle Rudolph of Cheyenne, Jill Thomas of Columbus, Georgia, Reggie McCloud of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Tammy McCloud of Aurora, Colorado; brother, Henry Parham of Columbus; nine grandchildren, Danielle Parham, Latasha and Destiny Rudolph, Ariel Gonzales, Triston and Kelcie Thomas, Daryle and Climmie Walker, and Wyyetta Parham; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, Rafus and Robbie (Porter) Parham; a brother, Charlie Parham; and a granddaughter, Tamika Rudolph.
Timeless Memories services will be Monday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
