Rita “Kelli” Green, 73, of Burns, died Monday, October 13th, at her home.
She was born September 27, 1941 in Duncan, Oklahoma, a daughter to William McDonald and Mildred Quinn.
Kelli married Jerry Green on June 8, 1963, becoming a military spouse for the next 25 years, living in several states as well as Germany, the Azores and England. She returned to Wyoming in 1986 helping to own and operate Paso Fino de Verde West near Burns. She retired from Civil Service in 1997.
She was a member of the Paso Fino Horse Association, Society of Decorative Painters and the Cowgirls of the West.
Survivors include sons, Collin (Janet) Green of Steamboat; Travis (Jenni) Hill of Burns; a daughter, Jeannette (Ethan) Blooding of Cheyenne; son-in-law, Lane Williams of Ault, CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Green; her parents; a son, Keith Johnson; and a daughter, Michele Green.
There will be a Celebration of her Life announced at a later time.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Cheyenne Shrine Travel Fund, PO Box 20826, Cheyenne, 82003.
