Richard E. "Dick" Mabie

Richard E. “Dick” Mabie, 91, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, August 7, 2023 in Cheyenne.
He was born on June 1, 1932 in Cheyenne.
Mr. Mabie earned a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Wyoming. He worked at Hughes Aircraft Company. He was a professor at the University of Wyoming and the University of Colorado. He taught at F.E. Warren Air Force Base and ended his working career at the Wyoming Highway Department.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margie O. Mabie; daughter, Marsha (Jim) Rucker of Vacaville, CA; son, Tim (Cindy) Mabie of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren, Mirriah Paz of Vacaville, CA, Olivia (Cody) Lipps, Justin (Taylor) Mabie, Brandon (Becca) Mabie of Cheyenne, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mabie was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Marion Mabie; brother, Donald Mabie; and his sister, Nancy Harrington.
Services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., with a viewing at 9:30 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lincolnway Building with burial to follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
