Richard C. Karash, 73, of Cheyenne passed away Jan. 4th at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 21, 1945 in Cheyenne and lived on the Reymore Dairy. He attended Ridley School, later moving to Cheyenne, where he finished grade school and attended Central High.
His family did the “Daddy of ‘Em All” miniature stagecoach with Shetland ponies for the Frontier Days parades for many years.
He met his wife of 52 years, Sandra L. White, through friends. They married on December 30, 1966.
Richard served in the Army Reserves and was honorably discharged. He worked at Frontier Refinery for 40 years, retiring in 2008.
He is survived by his wife; two children, Chris (Brandon Ladd) Karash and Katherine (Brian) Halse.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Grace Karash; siblings, Jerald and Gene Karash and Sharon Perry; grandparents; son-in-law, Chris L. Adkins and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Interment will take place at a later date.
