Richard D. Broick, Sr., 82, of Cheyenne, passed away Dec. 6th at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born April 21, 1936 in Loup City, Nebraska.
Richard married his high school sweetheart, Shariel Parks, and celebrated their 60th anniversary this year.
He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He cherished time spent with his family, even teaching them to fish. He tinkered with cars and electronics, especially computers. There was a love-hate relationship with the newer computers.
Richard is survived by his wife, Shariel Broick; four children, Diane Winter, Julie Winter, Leslie Broick, and Rich (Dorinda) Broick, Jr.; brother, Jerry (Joy) Broick; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margaret Broick and a brother, Bob Kalkowski.
Vigil for the Deceased will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
