Rebecca Ruthell (Ruth) Harlin, 85, of Cheyenne, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 21 at Davis Hospice Center.
Ruth was born April 4, 1930, in Lohn, Texas, to James Floyd and Mary Eula Montgomery.
She lived in Arizona and California, where her two children were born. She moved her family to Cheyenne in 1963.
Ruth worked as a cook and waitress most of her life.
Her family was very dear to her. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and made quite a few for family and friends. Ruth also enjoyed reading her Bible and going to church and was a member of First Assembly of God.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Mary Barney (Kerry) of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Kerry Barney Jr. (Esther) of Cheyenne, Heather Heiskell (John) of Georgia, John Cassy and Lonnie Cassy (Sasha) of Utah; great-grandchildren, Kerry III, Gabriel and Elliot Barney, both of Cheyenne, Contessa and Morris Heiskell of Georgia, Ashley and Samantha Lyngstad of Colorado, Riley, Dillon, Broc, Payton and Kimberly Cassy, all of Utah; sister-in-law, Etta Montgomery; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Alden Ray Cassy; brothers, Rodger, Robert, Roy and Jim Montgomery; sisters-in-law, June and Arwilda Montgomery; granddaughter, Rhonda Lyngstad; nephew, James; and niece, Darla.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
