Raymond E. Barnes

Raymond E Barnes, 56, of Cheyenne died on Jan 11th, 2025, in Cheyenne at his home after a short illness.

Ray was born in Casper, Wy on Dec 27, 1968, the only one to survive out of a number of miscarriages to be the miracle child.

He was an avid little league baseball player and loved to bowl. He won various awards and trophies from adolescence to adulthood. He was president of several clubs in high school and graduated from high school III valedictorian.

Ray worked with the Railroad for 18 years and took pride in his job. The train master even called him the train master as he knew everything going on in the yard. Ray was very respected at his job and even met his fiancé there.

Raymond got engaged to Erica Gano in July 2024. He became a father to her two children and a grandfather to their three grandchildren.

He is survived by his fiancé Erica, two children, Tierney and Duane, three grandchildren, Elijah, Atilyn, and Benjamin, and his brother Roy A Barnes.

He was preceded in death by his father Marvin E Barnes and his mother, Rosalie I Barnes.
