Ralph William Burchell, 75, of Cheyenne, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at home with his children by his side.
He was born December 8, 1941 in Hamilton Township, OH, the son of Fielding A. Burchell and Mildred B. (Hughes) Burchell of Kentucky.
Ralph was raised in Kentucky then moved to Wyoming as a teenager to work as a ranch hand. He had 4 brothers Marce, Larry, Johnny, and Timothy, 2 sisters Donna and Sheila.
Ralph was an accomplished businessman and owner of several businesses that included Good Samaritan Ambulance Service, A-1 Aviation, Burchell Welding, Burchell Trucking, and Lost Creek Ranch. Ralph spent the last 20 years working by his wife’s side as a legal assistant for her law practice. He was an avid horseman and outdoorsman. During his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family.
He is survived by his 5 children, Cathy Harshbarger (Robert), Bonnie Hughes, Lori Holt, Cheri Skufca, Kristi Davis (Michael), 3 stepchildren, David Tyler, Christie Miller (Thom), Mandy Jedlund (Tobias), 21 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet, granddaughter Andrea Battle, and parents.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel at 2 p.m.
Cremation has already taken place.
