Philip Marion Warner, 74, of Cheyenne passed away in hospital with family present on September 25th.
Born September 10, 1944 in Norfolk, Nebraska and Baptized into Christ Jesus, Phil married Genelle (Upton) of Neligh, NE on August 22, 1965. He taught school and milked cows near Madison, Battle Creek and Plainview, NE. In 1987 they moved to Cheyenne, where they raised their family. Philip also built a janitorial contracting business and was active in Alcoholics Anonymous, finding more than 30 years of sobriety, one day at a time, helping others.
Phil belonged to Our Savior Lutheran Church. He attended bible study and was an avid reader of old westerns and loved his horses.
He is survived by his wife, Genelle Warner; four children, Jeffery (Kimberly) Warner, Jamie Warner, Eric Warner, and Kayla (Adam) Welton; sister, Frances Fink; and eight grandchildren, Erik, Noah, McKenna, Devin, Annalyssa, Olerick, Lorelei, and Thatcher.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Lovell and Anna Warner and brother Lovell "Joe."
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, with visitation and viewing at 10am. Interment at 2:30 p.m. at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
