Pete Castaneda, 68, of Cheyenne, died on Sunday, August 20, 2017 in Cheyenne.
He was born on January 11, 1949 in Cheyenne and had lived here all his life.
Pete retired as an engineer from the UPRR in 2009 after 38 years of service. He loved playing the trumpet and occasionally played in the Sol Trujillo Band. He also enjoyed photography, home renovations, and the Denver Broncos. Most of all he loved his family!
He is survived by his wife Sue Castaneda, whom he married on October 23, 1987 in Cheyenne; three sons, Cameron Castaneda of Denver, Colorado, Sean Castaneda, of Cheyenne, and Jordan Castaneda of Los Angeles, California; a daughter, Shelby Lott of St. Paul, Minnesota; a brother, Mark Castaneda of Cheyenne; a niece, Stacia Anderson (Steve) of Cheyenne; and a close family friend, Karen Lott of Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Marchia Castaneda.
Private family services will be held.
