Pattie Jaye Blackford

May 27, 1957 — November 15, 2018

Pattie Jaye Marsh Blackford, beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother and Friend went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 15. Pattie was born in Loveland, Colorado on May 27, 1957, but grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She made her home for the last 21 years in Aransas Pass, Texas. She is survived by her parents Larry and Patricia Marsh of Loveland; her children Cherry Candiracci and husband Michael of Cheyenne, Dustin Kolkman and wife Melissa of Ingleside, TX, James Blackford and wife Gloria of Aransas Pass, TX; her grandchildren, Nick, Mikayla, Ariana, Kelsey, Seth, Emily, Brayden, Mariah, Ashley, Jamie, Robyn and Zach, great-grandchildren Josef, Athena, Alayla and Charlotte; and sisters Sue Marsh, Brenda Thompson and brother Len Marsh. She was also survived by many nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins that were special to her and her them. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jimmie Blackford. Until retirement, she was employed by Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.
There were two things valued in life above all else – first her love for the Lord, but a close second was family. She loved her children and grandchildren with complete selflessness. Pattie never met a stranger and once you were welcomed in to her family you were always family.
She was an avid knitter, who shared her gift with everyone by making something personal for you. Known as “Nana” and “Miss Pattie” to us all, she was example of steadfast faith and amazing gift to all of us. We were blessed to have journeyed with her if only for a season!
