She was also survived by many nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins that were special to her and her them. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jimmie Blackford. Until retirement, she was employed by Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.
There were two things valued in life above all else – first her love for the Lord, but a close second was family. She loved her children and grandchildren with complete selflessness. Pattie never met a stranger and once you were welcomed in to her family you were always family.
She was an avid knitter, who shared her gift with everyone by making something personal for you. Known as “Nana” and “Miss Pattie” to us all, she was example of steadfast faith and amazing gift to all of us. We were blessed to have journeyed with her if only for a season!
