Patrick David Cruz entered eternal life on March 26, 2021, in Cheyenne, WY surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 27th, 1954 to Joe and Cora Cruz in Raton, NM.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Cruz; his daughters, Stacy (Alfredo) Manriquez and Amy (Anthony) Baca; grandchildren, Shantel (Levon), Mariah (Brynden), Marisa, Jazlin, Mya, Aryanna, Domanic and Jojo; one great grandson, Jaeden; his brothers, George (Lucy), Art (Virgie), Tony (Priscilla), Tom (Melinda); his sisters, Edna (Albert), Helen (Felimon), Emma (Mike), Kathy; brother-in-law Pedro Mondragon; sister-in-law Florence Cruz; and many nieces and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Cora; sisters Phyllis Cruz and Rose Mondragon; brother Joe Jr Cruz; and brother-in-law Fernando Flores.
Pat grew up on a ranch in Dawson, NM where found his love for horses and working hard. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who knew how to get the best out of life. Pat followed God and was devoted to his Christian faith.
He enjoyed spending his time with his family and many friends. No matter where you ran into him, whether it be in the grocery store or at church, he was always there to brighten the lives of others with his stories and jokes. He had nicknames for many, and his kind and charming personality touched many hearts forever.
Pat retired in February 2020 from Admiral Beverage after 18 years. He enjoyed taking trips with his wife in his black dually, visits to his family, hunting, playing slot machines, and watching the Minnesota Vikings.
A memorial service will be held at Restoration Fellowship, 522 Capitol Ave, Cheyenne, WY on Thursday, April 1st at 2:00pm. Pat's family requests that masks be worn during services and social distancing be practiced. In Pat's memory, please take every precaution to protect yourself, your loved ones, and others around you while taking Covid-19 seriously. It is real, and unexpectedly took one of the best men we have ever known.
