Patricia Ann Whitman

July 31, 1931 — February 21, 2015

Pat was born on her grandparents’ homestead north of Fort Laramie, Wyoming to Clyde and Irene (Dearcorn) Wilson on July 31, 1931.
When she was 2 years old, they moved to western Oregon where her Dad’s sister lived. She started school in Riddle, Oregon and when she was 10 they moved back to Wyoming. The rest of her schooling was in Torrington, Wyoming, graduating from high school in 1950.
On October 1, 1950, she married her high school sweetheart, Don Whitman.
In 1954, they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where they raised their three boys.
Pat’s favorite things were being a “stay at home” mom, traveling, doing genealogy research, sewing, crocheting, reading, and working in her flower garden.
She and her husband Don have traveled to all fifty states, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, the Caribbean Islands and through the Panama Canal.
Pat was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 58 years and volunteered for Meals on Wheels since 1990.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Dennis; an infant son, John; and a Goddaughter, Whitney.
Surviving her are her husband, Don; three sons, David (Ellen) of Laramie, Larry (Debbie) of Brighton, CO, and Warren (Mary) of Old Orchard Beach, ME; a brother, Bill (Mary) Wilson of Chester, ID; a sister, Charlotte (Francis) Morgan of Riddle, OR; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a foster daughter, Cyndy (Stearns) Allen of Cambridge, VT; and two Goddaughters and their families.
Services will be held on Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church or Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne.
