Pasquale Zumo age 93 of Cheyenne, was called home to be with the Lord on September 9th at the VA Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 24, 1931 to Virginia Rose Dionese and Nunzio (John) Zumo in Cheyenne Wyoming.
Pasquale’s first job was at age 12, where he worked for an upholstery shop making $.50 an hour to keep the shop clean and remove the old furniture coverings. He liked that job because any money he found in the furniture he got to keep. He also worked in a candy shop with his Aunt Josie when he was in junior high. After high school he briefly worked for the Union Pacific Railroad before he enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After his four years in the Navy he decided to use the G.I. Bill to attend the University of Wyoming. During that time he met his one true love, Marlene Alden and later went to work for Land Air as a draftsman for four years. He then began his 33 year career at the Frontier Refinery.
Putting his love for woodworking and his draftsman skills to good use, he decided to design and build his own home, where he lived until he passed.
Pasquale was a board member at the Frontier Credit Union, treasurer of the Pipe Fitters Union and also a board member for the Laramie County Weed and Pest. Pasquale and Marlene really enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Wander Yonder’s camping club. He also greatly enjoyed the many camping and fishing trips that he took with his family. He was a life long member of St. Mary’s Church.
