On Wednesday, July 27, 2016, Pamela Waldon Johnson was called home. She was born August 1, 1956 in Aberdeen Maryland to George A. and Estella Virginia Waldon. She was the fifth of six children. Growing up there was a stron bond of love and an understanding of the importance of family between her brothers and sisters.
In her teenage years, she loved to hang out with her big sisters Cynthia and Monica. One night she went to a military dance with her sister Monica and me a soldier in the U.S. Navy, Timothy Johnson. They fell in love and later married. They went on to have three sons, Shomari, Timothy, and Joshua Johnson. She loved her sons and stayed home with them until they were school age. She then returned to school and received her high school equivalent. To further her education, she began her studies to be a certified nurse’s assistant in the late 1980’s. She attended Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida. By 1990, she received her certification as a CAN and began caring for the elderly at nursing homes. She accumulated various awards and certificates for her outstanding care for her patients. She worked for 20 years as a CAN and live-in nurse. What she did for a career was natural because of her love, affection, and care for the wellbeing of her children, family, friends, and people.
She is survived her three sons, Shomari, Tim (Annabelle) and Joshua; two brothers, Wayne and Johnny; a sister, Monica Waldon; ten grandchildren, Shomari Jr., Alexis, Jalen, Armon, Alania, Deonte, Elijah, Lillian, Timaya, and Ci’re; and two great grandchildren, Myah and Krue Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Waldon; sister, Cynthial Burrell; and a brother, George Arnold Waldon.
