Ofelia Esquibel, 84, of Cheyenne, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at her home.
She was born April 28, 1930 in San Martin, Mexico, a daughter to Frutoso and Aurelia Lemus. Ofelia came to Cheyenne in the early 1960’s from Mexico.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral. She was a loving mother. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and feeding people. And she especially enjoyed spending time with family.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Esquibel of Cheyenne; Tommy Esquibel of Cheyenne; Jerry Esquibel of Fort Collins; three daughters, Linda Kailey of Cheyenne; Diana Phan of Cheyenne; Cecilia Montoya of Midland, Texas; a brother, Arsenio Lemus of Laramie; a sister, Maria O’Hare of Cheyenne; eighteen (18) grandchildren and sixteen (16) great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Johnny Esquibel; a grandson, John Adam Esquibel; and a brother, Ruben Lemus.
Vigil and Rosary Services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Carl Gallinger as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Olivet Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Ofelia’s name to St. Joseph’s church.
