Norma Evelyn Harada, 96, of Cheyenne, WY formally from Wolf Point, MT passed away Sunday December 1, 2019 at her home in Cheyenne. She passed peacefully in her sleep with no pain or suffering.
Norma was born on March 19, 1923 to Mary and Tom Kurokawa of Poplar, MT. She married Frank Harada on February 23, 1944 when Frank was home on leave during WWII. After the war, they resided in Wolf Point for several years, then moved to Forest Grove, OR where Frank graduated from Pacific University in Optometry. They moved back to Wolf Point where Frank practiced for over 30 years, Norma took care of their five children.
When Norma's husband Frank passed away in 2001, she moved to Cheyenne, WY to be near Norman, Melissa and family. When she suffered a stroke 3 years ago, she was blessed to have Melissa as her caregiver until she passed.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, sister June Hino, brothers Jimmy Kurokawa, Leonard Kurokawa and Grant Kurokawa.
Norma is survived by 5 children, Gene (Lynette) of Havre, Norman (Melissa) of Cheyenne, WY, Dane of Wolf Point, Lisa (Kevin) Duck of Mound, MN and Toi (Jody) of Sharpsburg, GA and a brother Art Kurokawa of Wolf Point, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A private service will be held in Cheyenne, WY and a Celebration of life will be held in Billings, MT at a date to be announced later.
In lieu of flowers, etc., memorials can be sent to the Salvation Army, 601 East 20th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001.
