Nora B. Starkey, 57, of Cheyenne passed away after a valiant battle against a relentless foe, cancer on Sept. 16th at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 20, 1960 in Cheyenne.
Nora was the kitchen supervisor at the Child Development Center, F.E. Warren AFB, for 18 years
She enjoyed traveling, cooking, dancing and anything Disney. She cherished spending time with her grandkids and grand-dogs and getting the family together for honest to goodness meals. She was known for her religious convictions infectious Christmas spirit and was a member of St Joseph’s Parish.
Nora is survived by her husband of 37 years, Michael; two children, Valerie (Jason) Sanders and Derek Starkey; four grandchildren Eowyn, Jameryk, Kaitryne, and Jacquelynn and extended grandchildren Jazzaree, Analezia, Bella and Zav. She is also survived by her siblings, Tita Garcia, Stella Trujillo, Joseph Sanchez, Paul Sanchez, Alice Garcia and Phillip Sanchez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilfredo Sanchez and Mary Bartow and brothers, Johnny and Nobert Sanchez.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Starkey and her brothers, Joseph, Paul, and Phillip Sanchez.
Viewing will be Wednesday, 20 Sep from 11 AM-8 PM and Thursday, 21 Sep from 9 AM-5 PM Thursday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky.
Vigil for the deceased will be 6:30 PM, Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 AM, Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
