Nikolus Andrew Medina, age 22, passed away very unexpectedly on Thursday February 20, 2020 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born March 25th, 1997 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Jonathon Dominique Medina and Denise Karen (Rickers) Medina.
After growing up in Commerce City, Colorado and moving to Cheyenne in 2011 he then graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 2017. Nikolus loved football and was a great player and teammate. He loved the outdoors especially riding his motorcycle, camping, boating, hunting, snowboarding and even landscaping. He had a passion for auto mechanics and was very talented in this area. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a heart of gold that he wore on his sleeve. He was known as the “gentle giant” who gave the best bear hugs and he spread love wherever he went. He will be remembered for his kind, giving and loving nature.
He is survived by his father Jonathon, mother Denise, brothers Rudy Seth (Tanya), Jonathon Theodore, and Kevin Michael, and Nikolus’s loving girlfriend Taylor Wilson. Grandmother Theodora (Ortega) Richter and numerous Uncles and Aunts and countless cousins. He is preceded in death by Grandfather Rudy Medina, Donald Karl Rickers and Grandmother Meva Caroline (Kliener) Rickers.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 25th, 2020 at 11:00am at Element Church 600 E Carlson St, #201 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. A celebration of Nik’s life will be held immediately following at 1230 W 8th Ave at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Event Center from 12:00pm to 3:00pm
