Nick R. Hartsook, 78, lifelong Cheyenne resident, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at CRMC. He was born June 3, 1936 in Cheyenne. He spent the majority of his life managing the family business, Hartsook Equipment and Pump Service, with his father, Opha. After selling the business, he worked in remediation until retirement. He met Marydee Soden while working at Warren Air Force Base. They married December 16, 1960 at the First Presbyterian Church.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Good Sam Club and was an active Boy Scout Leader and sponsor of the Girl Scouts for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Marydee, daughters, April Pease (Christian) and Christina Hart (Douglas), sister, Lola Mae Brown, grandchildren, Bradley, Aaron, Alyssa, Baylee, Delaney, Maximillian, great grandchild, Skylar, and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his caregiver, Annamarie Alderette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Opha and Bernice Hartsook.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., December 26, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, Reverend Elizabeth Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery.
