Neva Smith, 80, of Cheyenne, died May 3, 2018. She was the daughter of Helen B. and Elbert Williams, born October 9, 1937 in Plentywood, Montana. She attended a country one room school through eighth grade. Then completed her education at Medicine Lake Montana where she graduated as salutatorian.
Neva and her husband came to Cheyenne in 1962. They moved to a small acreage in 1972 where they raised their four children.
She was an excellent seamstress and made many of hers and her daughters clothing including their wedding dresses. She also enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. Another of her joys was working with the family's sheep and all the 4H'ers who bought lambs from them.
Neva is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wayne; her daughters, Fern Allen (Ben), Cheryl Smith (Warren), Kathy Vogel (Jeff); son, Max Smith (Kevin); grandchildren, Corey Penny (Melissa), Brady Penny, Brenna DeGeer, Michelle Mielke (Bryan), Sam Vogel (Danae) and Chase Vogel and great-grandchildren, Branden Penny, Wren Penny and Grayson Vogel.
Viewing will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
A private family memorial will be held.
