Neil H. Royce, 87, of Cheyenne, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in Cheyenne.
He was born on January 15, 1928 in Hanna, Wyoming and had lived here since 1962. He attended schools in Cheyenne and graduated from Marshfield High in Coos Bay, Oregon. Neil attended the University of Wyoming, majoring in Industrial Management and Marketing.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Occupation of Japan in 1946-1947. Neil retired in 1990 as the General Manager of Credit Bureau Services of Wyoming. He was lifetime member of the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club and the Cheyenne Artist Guild. Neil enjoyed antiques, woodcarving, and fine art painting.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (McCain) Royce, whom he married on June 20, 1953; two sons, Dick Royce (Barbara) of Cheyenne and Scott Royce (Karen) of Laramie; a daughter, Jo Lynne Lenell (Brian) of Cheyenne; a sister, Mildred Reed of Ft. Collins, Colorado; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and one on the way.
Mr. Royce was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Doris Royce; his twin sister, Gloria Ward; and two brother-in-laws, Marion Ward and Robert Reed.
Graveside services will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at the Rugged Cross Chapel in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
