Naydene Ruth Hackett, 93, of Cheyenne passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Cheyenne Healthcare Center. She was born February 12, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah and had lived in Cheyenne for the past five months with prior residence in Green River for many years.
Naydene was a member of Parents Without Partners and Cowboy’s Against Cancer. She was a volunteer with Sweetwater County Hospice and for Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. She was an avid football fan and held a special place in her heart for her dear Denver Broncos. She enjoyed reading, politics and had a soft spot for animals.
Naydene is survived by her four children, Pete (Dorothy) Hackett of Denver, Colorado, Pati (Gene) Smith of Cape Coral, Florida, Toni (David) Sheneman of Lakewood, Colorado and Mari (Ron) Raupp of Roachdale, Indiana; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Liturgy will be 3:30 p.m., Friday at St. Mary’s Cathedral in the Bishop Chapel with Father Thomas Innya as celebrant.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
