Naomi “Corky” Clapp, 84, of Cheyenne passed away July 29th at Davis Hospice Center. She was born October 7, 1932 in Bushnell, Nebraska and had lived in Cheyenne most of her life. Corky was a longtime member of the Canasta Club and many women's tea, coffee clubs and organizations. Corky and Bob enjoyed over 40 years of playing cards with close friends each and every Friday night. Corky enjoyed traveling with her husband and meeting, and making many friends along the way.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Clapp of 66 years; three children, Robin Waterhouse, Randy Clapp (James Hoppe), and Kellie Jeannette (Erik Jeanette). Five grandchildren; Erin Waterhouse, Derek Clapp, Elliot Mayber, Josh Mayber and Ethan Jeannette. Mo, as her grandkids called her, loved them very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Corky was preceded by her parents, Earl and Myrtle Smith and three sisters, Donna Petersen, Sherry Kay Smith and Angeline Smith.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at Weiderspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Internment to follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
