Moses S. Espinosa, 93, passed away in Cheyenne at Davis Hospice Center on July 26, 2016. He was born to Octavio and Christina Espinosa in Fort Collins, Colorado on February 3, 1923. He was raised in the colony in Greeley, Colorado until he was 17. Moses enlisted in the service in 1940 and was a World War II Veteran and also fought in the Korean War. He married Mary Lopez and the couple had 5 children. Moses retired from Civil Service at FE Warren AFB at the age of 55. He was a member of the Oak Spokes Antique Car Club for many years. His cars were proudly displayed during Cheyenne Frontier Days. Moses was a carpenter his whole life, and his homestead house can be seen in the museum at City Park in Greeley, Colorado. He leaves behind his children; Moses “Jesse” Espinosa, David Anthony Espinosa, Barbara Jean Davis, and Theresa Hope Vigil, 17 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Moses was preceded in death by his wife Mary, son Joseph Stephen Espinosa, his granddaughter, Margaret Espinosa, and his biological siblings, Ernest Espinosa, Eloise Tellez, Edna Aragon, and Kate Cassel. Vigil for the deceased will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Sunday at 4 pm. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Monday at 2 pm. Burial with military honors and Father Stephen Siebert officiating, will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley, Colorado.
