Morris B. Perkins

Morris B. Perkins, 80, of Burns, Wyoming, died on August 24, 2022.
He was born on January 5, 1942 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Mr. Perkins was drafted into the Army in 1964-1967 and spent 18 months in Vietnam as a crew chief in helicopter maintenance. He Served again from 1969-1972 spending another 12 months in Vietnam.
Morris worked at Bosworth Sullivan from 1972-1977 as a stockbroker, first in Fort Collins then moving to Cheyenne in 1975. He then went to the A.G. Edward & Son brokerage firm from 1977-1989, serving as branch manager and eventually Senior Vice President. He was also the owner of a small cow/calf operation east of Cheyenne from 1992-2006.
He was a member of the Cheyenne Quarterback Club, Cowboy Joe Club, and the Elks Club. He served on the Old West Museum Board of Directors, Unicover Board of Directors, LEADS, and IDAC Board.
He enjoyed Cheyenne Frontier Days was on the Parade Committee, stripping’ chutes, and PR Committee. He became a CFD Heel in 1993. Morris loved all sports but especially UW football and both boys and girls basketball, bird hunting, horseback riding, traveling, and auto racing, both Formula 1 and Indy cars.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy; son, Brandon; and daughter, Christel.
Morris was preceded in death by his father, Raz Perkins; his mother, Myrtle; two sisters, Doris, and Eulalah;, and two brothers, Atlee, and Grady.
Services will be Monday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with a reception to immediately follow at The Gathering Place.
Military honors and interment will be Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at Cheyenne National Cemetery.
