Monica E. Waldon, 64, of Cheyenne, died on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in Colorado.
She was born on March 19, 1952 in Havre de Grace, Maryland to parents George and Virginia Estelle Waldon. She permanently moved to Cheyenne in July of 1978.
Monica was a CNA and worked at Mountain Towers Healthcare and CRMC, WalMart, and was a Foster Grandparent. She was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church and the VFW Post 4343. Monica was a church exhorter, choir member, and loved music and gambling.
She is survived by a son, Meifrondee Waters (DeeAnna) of Cheyenne; a daughter, Botswana Reynolds (Timothy) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her oldest nephew that she raised, George A. Waldon (Valorie) of Centennial, Colorado; two brothers, Wayne L. Waldon of Baltimore, Maryland, and Jonathan Waldon, of Cheyenne; and five grandchildren, Vonte Reynolds, Jasmin Waters, Meifrondee “Fuji” Waters, Jr., Kimara Reynolds, and Dezmond Waters.
Monica was preceded in death by her siblings, George Arnold Waldon, Cynthia Burrell, and Pamela Johnson; and her parents, George A. and Estelle Virginia Waldon.
She was always known for her big heart, infectious personality and voice, and always lending a listening ear.
Services will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
