For those of you who knew Mike, you knew he was one to go against the grain. He forged his own path and lived for the moment. Mike was a free spirit his entire life. But he was most free when he was on a motorcycle. He had a passion for all things Harley Davidson. He was constantly educating himself on these machines that fascinated him so much. An engine between his legs and an open road was Mike’s calling. Throughout his entire life he embodied the Harley Davidson slogan-Live to Ride and Ride to Live. Anything with an engine led Mike to pursue the field of Automotive Mechanics and his love for the open road also led him to truck driving. Mike was a talented, honest mechanic who would always stop whatever he was doing to help if we ever had car trouble. He used to haul freight throughout Colorado and Wyoming, delivering to places like the Loveland Outlet Mall and Blockbuster Video and several other department stores. Him being on the road brings up memories of a great highway song called “Amarillo by Morning.” I think George Strait said it best when he sung “ I ain’t got a dime but what I got is mine, I ain’t rich but Lord I’m free.”
Cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at a later date. In remembrance of Mike please take a moment to listen to a song called “Goodbye to Romance” by Ozzy Osbourne. After that just listen to any other Ozzy song on full blast. Learn a skill, work with your hands, and If you don’t have the right tool or part, then make one!-Be an Innovator! But most importantly-Live to Ride and Ride to Live. Mike,Forever wishing you perfect weather, with chrome and leather.
