On Saturday, November 20th, 2021 Michael Walter, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 70. Michael was born on May 15th, 1951 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Harold and June (Penney) Walter. After high school, he met the love of his life Janice Craig and were then married on August 31, 1978. He worked for Parker Hannifin for 37 years where he retired. After retirement him and his wife moved to Cheyenne Wyoming. Michael loved watching all sports especially the Denver Broncos and the Nebraska Huskers. He was a two-time world horseshoe champion. He also loved fishing, playing cornhole, dancing with his wife, and spending time with family, friends, and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Janice; daughters Melissa (Ryan) Woods, Carrie (Jeff) Walker, and Nikki Walter and her partner Blake Loomis; sisters Patty Humphrey and Pam (Tony) Lacy; brothers-in-law James M and Donna (Hilmer) Craig, Dennis and Karen McAlevy, and Darrell Craig; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; 13 grandchilden; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, and both mother and father-in-law. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
