Michael E. Quinlivan, 92, of Cheyenne, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at his home in CheyenHe was born June 24, 1922, in Midland, Arkansas, a son of George and Laura (Thach) Quinlivan. Michael was drafted into the U.S. Army at a young age. He served during WWII. Michael moved to Cheyenne in the late 1940’s where he went to work for the Wyoming Highway Department. He moved to Pinedale in 1963 working as a District Foreman in the Highway Department. He retired in 1984 and returned to Cheyenne.
Mr. Quinlivan was married to his wife Lodisa on September 1, 1945, she passed away October 28, 1991.
Michael was a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of the Moose Lodge where he served as Governor for 2 terms, after turning 80. He enjoyed shooting, pheasant hunting, horses, golfing and dancing.
Survivors include a son Chuck Quinlivan of Cheyenne; two daughters, Connie (Dwayne) Schwab of Cheyenne; Jeanette Snow of Greeley, Colorado; a brother Claude Quinlivan of Cheyenne; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and special friend Zella Rusk of Cheyenne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother, Wesley Quinlivan and a sister, Sue Peters.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Interment with Military Rites will be at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Casket Bearers will be Aaron Schwab, Tracy Perko, Michael Schwab, Shannon Rankine, Wanda Helm and Kevin Quinlivan. Honorary Bearer Dwayne Schwab.
