October 11, 1958 — October 16, 2019

On October 16, 2019, Michael Lucero, loving husband and father of 3 children, passed away suddenly from a rare illness. Michael was born October 11, 1958. He graduated from Central High School followed by the University of Wyoming.

Michael loved being a dad and grandpa. In 1977, Michael welcomed his first child Jaclyn and immediately formed a special bond. On June 7th, 1997 he married Jill his “lover” and together they raised Ty and Emily.

He loved to dance, had a passion for music and was quick with a one-liner. Michael was a die-hard Yankees and Broncos fan and enjoyed happy hour with friends.

Michael and Jill enjoyed Harley rides, traveling to Europe, camping, fishing and spending time with their grandchildren.

He loved fly-fishing with his son Ty and golfing with his daughter Emily.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio “Ed” and Flora Lucero; and brother, Leroy Lucero.

Survived by his wife, Jill; daughter, Jaclyn Pauli (Dan) grandchildren, Ella and Michael; son Ty; daughter Emily, Siblings; Dorothy Barr; Jim Lucero (Margaret); Patsy Vazquez (Fernando); Dave Lucero (Michele) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Liturgy will be Monday, 3:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral immediately followed by a reception at AMVETS, 3839 E Lincolnway, Cheyenne, WY 82001.
