She spent most of her life in Cheyenne and worked as a receptionist for Good Will, where she received employee of the year honors. Melva spent the remainder of her life on disability but never lived as though she were disabled. She was jovial, full of life, and always looking for any excuse to have a family gathering. She was passionate about life, love, and family, and shopping at Walmart. Melva enjoyed cooking family meals. Her motto was always this…”I do not need a recipe because I cook from the heart.” Many considered her an “adoptive grandma” as she welcomed everyone into her family with open arms. Melva was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her daughter; Ronda Pino, son; Dino Garcia, grandchildren; Ramin (Rebecca) Lewis, Brandon Lewis, and her great-grandchildren; Desmin and Destiana Lewis, Brad and Ryan Craft, and Jonathyn and Raevyn Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents Madaline Miller and Joseph Garcia, her companion Felix Imperial, her brother Henry Garcia her sister Rose Miller, and numerous other relatives.
A Life commemoration service will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Friday November 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Donations can be made to Melva Garcia Memorial at First Interstate Bank.
