MD Frank Sanders passed away peacefully on June 16, 2020 in Wheatland, Wyoming.
He was born in O’Keene, Oklahoma on July 30, 1929. Frank served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and on October 5, 1952, married his sweetheart Kathleen Cooper in Avondale, CO. Frank graduated from CSCE in Greeley, CO with a bachelor’s and master’s degree. During his career in Education, he taught Industrial Arts at Carey Jr. High School; was a counselor at East High School; and an Assistant Principal at Johnson Jr. High School in Cheyenne. After retirement Frank and Kathy enjoyed living in Alamo, TX 6 months out of the year and in Star Valley, Thayne, WY 6 months out of the year for over 20 years. They moved to Wheatland, WY in 2014 to be close to family.
Frank is survived by his wife, Kathy, Wheatland, WY; daughter Kitty (Anthony) Lucero, Wheatland, WY; daughter Tracey (Paul) Homburg, San Antonio, TX; son Barry Sanders, Cheyenne, WY. Grandchildren: Breana (Tyrell) Garton; Daniel Lucero; Sarah Campbell; and Paul Homburg IV. Brother Glenn (Mary) Hoover; cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Media and Delpha Sanders; Stepfather Russell Hoover; Siblings Troy Sanders and Jim Hoover.
