Maynard Joseph Richmeier

April 24, 1946 — December 31, 2019

Maynard Joseph Richmeier - passed away December 31, 2019 at age of 73. He was born in Salina, KS April 24, 1946 to Joe J. and Mary Richmeier. He was raised on a wheat farm near St. Peter, KS. He attended St. Thomas Moore prep school then enlisted in the Air Force. After an honorary discharge, he worked at several banks in Cheyenne and Casper. He married Sharon Ryan in 1973. He was a partner in Commercial Flooring from 1976 to 1995. He operated Richmeier Construction until 2017.

Maynard is survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Jennifer Reed (Jay), son Matthew, and grandsons Dylan and Alex Reed.

He is also survived by siblings Ed, Kenneth, Bob, Mary Ann, Leon, Kathleen and their families, along with many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Roy, and a niece and nephews.

He was heavily involved in the Knights of Columbus, Cheyenne Housing Authority, SE WY Homebuilders Association, member of St. Mary's Cathedral, parish council, and finance committee.

A rosary will be held Thursday, January 9 at 6pm at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Services will be held Friday, January 10 at 10am, St. Mary’s Cathedral with a reception to follow in Hartmann Hall. Interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary’s Cathedral, or a charity of your choice.
