Matthew O. Morris, 41, of Cheyenne, passed on August 31, 2024, in Englewood, Colorado.
He was born on January 14, 1983, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Earnest and Lorraine (Jackson) Morris. Matt was a devoted father, son, brother, cousin, and uncle. He enjoyed working out and his career as a personal trainer fueled his passion to help others. He loved attending his daughter’s track & fields meets, being around family and would talk to anyone who would listen. When Matt was in the room, there was no such thing as a stranger.
He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Morris of Frisco, TX; siblings, Marcus Morris of Casper, Charles Morris (MaLuz Morris) Of Dallas, TX, Myra (Randy Llamas) Llamas of Denver; children, Marquis Morris, Faith Burdett, Nadia Burdett, Taliah Morris, Genesis Morris, Myla Morris, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Morris Jr. and grandfather, David Jackson Senior.
I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel, the infamous quote by, Maya Angelou. Matt embodied this. There was never a person that’s met Matt, who hasn’t experienced the pure joy of his smile, the comfort, of his laugh, and the reminder of how he always made us feel. He will be missed so deeply and we all will just have to find a new way to feel him.
