Maryjane L. Hernandez, 72, of Cheyenne passed away Nov. 26th at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 14, 1945 in Madera, California, married Eugene Hernandez on April 15, 1966, and moved to F.E.W. Air Force Base with "Gene" and two children, where she lived ever since. Maryjane was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and Sacred Heart Prayer Group. She cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was an avid crafter: stamping, knitting, and crocheting. In her younger days, she was a member of the Pan American Club, played softball, made clothes for her children, and took great joy in baking fancy birthday cakes for her kids.
Maryjane is survived by her children, Gino (Laurie) Hernandez and Diane (Ricky) Roberts; four brothers; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene John Hernandez; parents, Ignacio and Maria Plasencio Lara, and two brothers.
Rosary for the Deceased will be 6:00 p.m., December 11th at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., December 12th at St. Mary’s Cathedral with burial to follow at Olivet and reception at Hartman Hall until 2:00 p.m.
