Mary Ann Howe (Babe), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on May 3, 1956, in Hagerstown, MD, to Andrew and Helen Babjak. She was the younger sister of Mary Ellen Bates, Robert (Pat) Babjak, and William (Bette) Babjak.
Mary Ann was a loving wife to her husband Bruce Howe and a devoted mother to her children, James (Leah) Selvage and Jeremy (Bailey) Selvage as well as bonus sons James (Kelsie) Andrews and Devlin (Tina) Howe. She was also an extraordinary grandmother to her seven grandsons Austin, Andrew, Alexander, Ashton, Calin, Jack, and Landon and her two bonus grandsons Bryce and Cody. Her grandchildren brought immense joy and pride to her life.
In addition to her love for family, Mary Ann had a passion for cooking. She took great joy in preparing meals for her loved ones, often experimenting with new recipes and creating delicious dishes that brought everyone together. Her kitchen was a place where her warmth and care truly shined, and her meals were always made with love. Mary Ann also loved traveling and exploring new places with family, always looking forward to the next adventure and making new memories. When not cooking or traveling you could find her sunning on her back deck with her dogs Roofus, Andi, and Adrian.
Throughout her life, Mary Ann touched many hearts with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Her dedication to her loved ones, combined with her gentle nature, made her a true inspiration to all who knew her.
Mary Ann's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, who will always remember her warmth, her strength, and her endless love. She will be greatly missed but forever cherished.
