Mary Lucille Zwonitzer, 91, of Cheyenne passed away Feb. 7 at Granite Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 4, 1926 in Morrill, Kansas, to Arthur Sanner and Lena Hinton. She attended schools in Mercer, Horton, Bern and Oneida Kansas.
She married Melvin L. Zwonitzer November 10, 1945 in Netawaka, Kansas.
They moved to Cheyenne in 1956. She was a bank teller and started an auction business with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, sons Donald R. (Charlene) Zwonitzer of Kimball and David L. (Kym) Zwonitzer of Cheyenne, six grandchildren, Dustin, Darren, Jenny, Janelle, Daniel and Ty, their spouses and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Arthur Sanner, Jr.
Services will be at 10 am Monday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with Rev. Delbert Hansen officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
