1920-2017
Betty passed away August 17th in the house her father built in 1924. She resided there for 94 years. Her family roots in Cheyenne go back to the early 1890’s. Betty was born May 6th 1920 in Oakland, California. Her true loves were the Wyoming plains, her horses and the cabin she cherished by Crystal Lake. Betty’s education began at The Holy Child Academy of Cheyenne, followed by her graduation from St. Mary’s High School in 1938 and from Loretto Heights College in 1942 she then received her masters degree from The University of Wyoming. Betty’s teaching career began in Clearmont, Wy and ended with a 35 year stand at McCormick Jr. High. She taught Latin, science but primarily, math. She was from the old school of discipline and expected excellence from all of her students. Betty had a phenomenal memory and could recall all of her student’s names and the places they sat in her classroom. After retiring she authored two books about the Happy Jack area. Throughout her life she remained deeply faithful to her many Sinsinawa Dominican friends. She was a generous person, a wonderful aunt and a loyal friend.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Elizabeth, siblings Bill and Barbara Ann and nephew Mike Schroll.

Betty is survived by her dear friend Sandra Fedele, sister-in-law Howardine Schroll, nieces Barbara Barworth, Linda (Larry) Heesch, John (Kitten) Schroll, great nieces and nephews Kathleen Seiler, Patrick Carey, Chad Barworth, David Barworth, Liz Schroll, Tyler Schroll and Laura Schroll.

Vigil for the deceased will be 6pm Tuesday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral liturgy will be at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Interment will follow at Olivet Cemetery.
