Mary Shizikou Horam, 93, of Cheyenne died peacefully at Davis Hospice on January 8th. Mary was born on March 12th, 1929, in Yokohama, Japan. She married Sgt. John W. Horam in 1951 to make her future as a military spouse, residing in Europe and the United States. Her life was dedicated to the welfare of her family. Mary raised four boys. Two of the boys had cerebral palsy, and she raised them into their adult years.
Mary enjoyed gardening, sewing, and trips to Las Vegas. She was involved with the United Cerebral Palsy Center of Denver where two of her sons attended school.
She is survived by sons W. Joseph (Carol) Horam of Cheyenne and Thomas Horam of Broomfield, Colorado; and grandchildren, Valerie Tork, Andrew Horam and Zachariah Horam. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Horam and sons Walter and James.
There will be a family memorial service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver at a later date.
