Mary Ellen Grimm, age 60 died peacefully surrounded by her husband and children after a courageous battle with cancer, on October 19, 2021 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Mary Ellen was Born on November 6th, 1960 in Hialeah, Florida to Daniel Claude Bourassa and Katherine Veracunda Bourassa. She Went to Immaculate Conception from Kindergarten through 8th grade and graduated in 1979 from Hialeah Miami Lakes High School.
Mary Ellen met Randy at the age of 19, they were married shortly after at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hialeah. Randy and Mary Ellen moved to Bellvale, NY where they had their first child. Soon after, they moved back to Florida and found a cute little town to raise their family in Dade City. Mary Ellen was a stay at home mom to her seven children one of which she lost during pregnancy. When Randy retired from the police force, they decided to move to Buford, Wyoming. They lived there for 9 years before she succumbed to cancer.
Mary Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. She spent her life leading her children in their Catholic faith. She enjoyed being with her children but most of all her 10 grandchildren. She always provided love and support for her family. She would proudly boast about all six of her children and grandchildren. She was a devout Roman Catholic and turned to God for everything in her life. Even in Cancer she kept the faith.
Mary Ellen is survived by her husband of 40 years, Randy Kevin Grimm; her children, Jesse and Courtney Grimm, Chelsea and David Gordon, Katherine and Kyle Graham, Shane And Elisabeth Grimm, Lacey and Austin Pisano, and Wyatt Grimm; her grandchildren, Dillon Grimm, Maci Grimm, Dawson Gordon, Elizabeth Gordon, Montana Graham, Carson Graham, Brynlee Graham, Casey Grimm, Autumn Pisano and Abigail Pisano; her siblings, Sharon Bourassa Leavitt and family, Carol Bourassa Johnson and family, Daniel Claude Bourassa, Jr. and family, Sherry Bourassa McClain and family, and Donald Richard Bourassa; and her mother, Katherine V. Bourassa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Claude Bourassa; her father-in-law, Wayne F. Grimm; and her mother-in-law, Beatrice Pauline Grimm.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Wednesday, 6:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at St. Mary's Cathedral with burial to follow in the Grimm Family Cemetery in Buford.
A reception will follow at the Grimm home in Buford.
