Mary Elizabeth Foster, 93, passed from this world to Heaven Tuesday, May 17.
Mary was born in Santa Ana, California on April 18, 1923.
She married Elmo B. Foster in 1946 and moved to Cheyenne and has resided here for 73 years.
Mary was active in several community women’s organizations over the years. Some of those activities include Laramie County Precinct Committee Chairman, active in Laramie County Republican Women’s Group, and the Laramie County Cowbelles. She was involved in 4H while she and Elmo raised their five children on their Ranch south of Cheyenne.
Mary was a gracious, kind woman and valued her family and embraced life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 41 years, Elmo B. Foster.
She is survived by her five children, Shirley Foster (Barbara), Bernard Foster (Vickie), Fran Danczak (Ray), Chris Foster (Marilyn) and Teresa Kunkel (Ed); five grandsons; two granddaughters and several great- grandchildren.
Vigil for the Deceased will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Father John Sauter as celebrant. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
