Marvin Dale Royer, 91, of Cheyenne, passed away on July 6, 2019 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.
Marvin, known as Marv by most, was born in Littleton, Illinois to Jay Royer and Esther (Barrett) Royer. From Illinois they moved to Colorado where he worked jobs in many different fields. In 1951, he was inducted into the Army, served in Korea as a Tank Sergeant, and was honorably discharged in February of 1953.
In 1959 he and his wife Rozella moved to Cheyenne and opened Marv's Mobile Home and R.V. Supply, which he and Rose operated into his early 60's and they then sold the business to their son Eugene and retired. Marvin was preceded in death by his loving wife Rozella; his parents, Jay and Esther; his second wife Bennie; and a brother-in-law, Tom Davis.
Marvin is survived by his three sons, Eugene (Janice) Royer, Ronald (Irene) Royer, and David Royer; his four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Marvin is also survived by his siblings, Merle (Wilma) Royer, Katherine (Bob) Desmond, Dwight (Marge) Royer, Doris Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
Marvin will be fondly remembered by his family and all who knew him.
Services will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
A reception will immediately follow at The Gathering Place.
