Marty Altenbern, 59, left this earth and became present with the Lord on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Marty’s love and service to the Lord was evident by all who knew him. No doubt the words “well done good and faithful servant” were heard by him as he entered heaven.
Marty was born on June 3, 1957 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was an insurance and investment advisor in Laramie and in Cheyenne for over 30 years. In addition to his business, he was an avid Wyoming Football fan and took every opportunity to be at Wyoming sporting events with camera in hand. Many will remember Marty walking the sidelines of the Wyoming football field taking pictures of the games and the crowds.
Marty was known and loved by many! He is survived by his wife Lori; his son, Kyle (Steffanie) of Nampa, Idaho; his father, James of San Marcos, California; his sister, Mary of Denver, Colorado; two brothers Scott (Janice) of Burleson, Texas and David (Shelly) of LaQuinta, California; and four grandchildren and the joys of his life, Franchesca Ann, Bennett Elizabeth, Layton Jarren, and Abilene Mae; and many nieces and nephews.
Marty was preceded in death by his mother, Marian; his daughter, Kelsey Ann; his sister, Therese Altenbern; a grandson, Henry Steven; and a daughter-in-law, Alix.
